All the articles published in Indonesian Journal of Material Research are freely available online (Open Access) in order to allow the scientific society and public to gain free and immediate access to the published articles. However, the publishing process is not without costs. To cover the publication cost, the authors have to pay an article processing charges (APCs). The APC is charged to the author when their manuscript is editorially accepted or before the publication with the amount of USD 250. There are no charges for rejected articles, no submission charges, and no surcharges based on the length of an article, figures, or supplementary data. Also, all the editorial items including editorials, corrections, additions, retractions, letters, and comment, are free of charges.
However, in 2025, the Indonesian Journal of Material Research will not charge any Article Processing Charges (APCs) or any other fees. The entire publication process will be carried out free of charge.
